Preparing AquaGrove for the New School Year
As summer draws to a close, many schools are preparing to commence the 2024-25 academic year in the coming weeks. For educators, this period often involves extensive planning and classroom setup in anticipation of welcoming a new cohort of students.
In relation to AquaGrove systems, schools have adopted various strategies for managing their systems during the summer break. Some institutions have maintained operation with the assistance of student volunteers, interns, or through summer learning programs. Others have used the summer to clean and reset their systems, preparing them for a fresh start in the Fall.
Regardless of the approach taken, it is now time to prepare your AquaGrove system for the upcoming school year. For educators who opted to clean and empty their systems, a refresher on system reactivation may be necessary. AquaGrove recommends reviewing the Starter Guides that accompanied your system, as well as our previous article, Getting Started with AquaGrove. This resource provides a step-by-step overview of the setup process and offers guidance on the time required to ready the system for student use.
Once your system is prepared for the introduction of fish and plants, you will enter the engaging phase of involving students in the process. The AquaGrove Learning Guide includes valuable lessons and links to additional resources, offering a range of activities and topics that can be tailored to the age, skill level, and interests of your students. This guide can be used to design or enhance your educational program, either by incorporating the provided resources directly or using them as a basis to develop custom materials.
As you and your students embark on the AquaGrove learning journey, remember that support is readily available. The aforementioned resources are an excellent starting point for preparing for the new school year and a new cycle of growth. AquaGrove remains committed to supporting educational partners with additional tools, links, and resources to facilitate successful learning experiences.
